Who We Are

Cassiobury Court is a specialist residential drug and alcohol rehab and treatment centre for adults aged 18 and over, located in Richmond Drive, Watford, alongside the beautiful Cassiobury Park and within easy reach of London and the wider UK transport network. We provide evidence-based care within a safe, therapeutic environment, combining medically managed detox, personalised psychological therapies and compassionate support to help individuals achieve lasting recovery and improved wellbeing.

Since we opened in 2011, we have supported more than 3,000 people through structured, evidence-based treatment programmes. Our clients include individuals, their families, and people referred by employers, GPs, and other healthcare providers. Whether you are looking for help for the first time or have struggled through previous attempts at recovery, our approach is the same. Personalised, compassionate, and focused entirely on change that will last.

Our 24 bed facility offers a calm, confidential residential environment where individuals can focus fully on recovery. We are able to accept private and statutory admissions, along with self-referrals, family referrals and employer referrals, and our admissions team is available 7 days a week.

Our Approach to Care

At Cassiobury Court, we provide recovery-focused substance misuse treatment within a safe, supportive environment that promotes safe, positive risk management and supports sustainable recovery. By combining clinical expertise with person-centred care, we then tailor treatment to individual needs, circumstances and recovery goals, working alongside every person from medically managed detox through to therapy and rehabilitation.

For some people, treatment starts with a medically managed detox to support withdrawal safely and as comfortably as possible. After this stage comes tailored therapeutic programmes designed around longer-term recovery aims.

Our team includes consultant psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers and also recovery support workers, working collaboratively to deliver evidence based care tailored to each individual and their own recovery journey.

We hold high professional standards at our CQC-registered rehab clinic. Many of our recovery support workers also bring lived experience of recovery, which offers a unique level of understanding, empathy and hope. Their insight helps inspire confidence and show that lasting recovery really is possible.

I stayed at Cassiobury Court for 28 days in December 2021 to January 2022 and I'm now 110 days clean and sober. The level of care and support you receive here from all the staff is outstanding. From admissions, to leaving through to aftercare I cannot thank everybody enough. They tirelessly go above and beyond to help every individual to get them back on track with detox, step work, one-to-one therapy, group therapy, acupuncture, fitness and good food. Each patient is different and the staff keep a very close eye on each individuals personal circumstances and try to guide them to the best of their abilities. Truely inspirational as have all been through the hell of addiction themselves so there is zero judgement. If you want it bad enough this is the safest environment to be in. I actually miss them all!!!

Wow what can I say the staff and group of people I was wrapped around in my recovery in cassiobury were amazing if you are looking for somewhere for your daughter or wife or relatives please contact cassiobury court I can not recommend this place more I did 38 days within cassiobury court and I feel so blessed to of been here. From the therapists psychologist Key workers management, cleaners, maintenance Cooks , just all of them they all have a big part to play, and I could not recommend Casselberry Court enough. I’ve never felt so comfortable and so loved within my whole stay. There was not one moment I did not feel safe within the campus to be fair. I didn’t want to leave if I could’ve stayed there a few months I would have. From the bottom of my heart, Cassiobury, thank you I will be back to share it’s not a goodbye it’s a see you soon ♥️🙏❤️‍🩹

When I came in to Cassiobury I was all over the place my life was in chaos caused by me. I didn’t know what to expect when I arrived, I had been in another rehab before. I didn’t have a good experience there unfortunately. At Cassiobury I made the effort to be around everyone and learn, taking part in everything which is the only way to learn. The thing I really love about Cassiobury are staff who are in recovery themselves which is amazing - they point you in the right direction from their own experiences which has made all the difference to me. It’s been massive for me. You know when you are talking to staff they have done it themselves. Every single staff have been brilliant, they have different approaches and which has been the best therapy for me as they understand what I’ve been going through. I felt safe at Cassiobury which gave me a sense of relief and helped me to relax, release my anxieties and fears focusing on what I needed to do - from feeling broken I feel repaired. I cannot fully express what this is done for me. I can’t fault this place from the top to the cleaners. I leave Cassiobury with more understanding about addiction than I’ve ever had. I’ve got the tools I need which gives me the courage to remain sober. My loved one found this place and I’m so grateful that she did! She made a huge effort for me. You will get everything you need if you want it - don’t waste the opportunity. For me Cassiobury court will work for you but you need to work for yourself while you’re there - you won’t regret it.

My last day of a 28 day programme at Cassio, what can I say? The best decision I ever made, the staff are amazing, kind, considerate, nothing is too much and they always know everyone's name so a very personal touch. The group sessions are so informative and with lots of humour thrown in. Food, fantastic Alan the chef is great. Therapists and practitioners are top notch! Highly recommend Cassio, and the more you put into your recovery the more you will get out. I am leaving a different person and with tools to work the programme once those gates open! Thanks Cassio!!!

I spent 2 weeks at Cassiobury, really think it might have saved my life, Jane walked me in on the first day and told me I wouldn't want to leave by the end of it, she wasn't wrong. Every member of staff were amazing and so supportive. Having had two not so good experiences at other rehabs I was very nervous and in a really bad way, at my worst point in drinking ever and thinking there was no way out, but now I feel better than I have in 4 years 🙂 so apprecitive to literally everyone there, so welcoming and understanding. The food is amazing too, and will cater to your needs, felt so looked after and genuinely cared for, will forever be grateful for this experience x

A superb venue for anyone who would like to begin the real journey of recovery from addiction. Every single member of staff cares and they cannot do enough with an always cheerful approach and outlook. This was my third visit to different Rehabs and this one has made by far the most difference. The therapy is second to none and the food is outstanding. Highly recommended.

I have spent some time at Cassiobury Court over the last 6 months and cannot speak more highly of the experience. I admitted myself for alcohol addiction and was very scared when I arrived and did not have any idea what to expect. The staff could not have been kinder to me. I wanted to leave on day 2 because I was very anxious and out of my comfort zone, but fortunately staff members calmed me down and I ended up staying which I am very glad about. The schedule is very good with group sessions, some one on one sessions and therapy sessions. The food is excellent and the chefs are very accommodating if you wish to have something different. There is a daily trip to the local shop to get any bits you may need. All the staff are amazing, the recovery workers, the management, the chefs and kitchen staff and all that work at Cassiobury are all so caring and it really shows. You have time to get to know the rest of the group and I ended up building close bonds and have kept in contact with many that I met in Cassiobury (and I bump into people I met at meetings outside as well as on the aftercare calls). All in all, if your are considering a treatment centre then I would highly recommend Cassiobury Court, I am very grateful for my time there.

Where do I even start… This has been my second time in there as a year ago when I was there, I didn’t take the program seriously enough and I just wanted to get clean from drugs but not follow the 12 step program. However after having a few months sobriety, then relapsing as I didn’t do what was suggest to me! I ended up going back for 28 days. Let me tell you, that this experience was a one in a lifetime and I took everything on board, attended all sessions and did exactly what I was told! Every single member of staff at cassiobury go above and beyond for their clients. They put time and effort into all of us and someone is always there for you to talk to day or night. There is a huge range of sessions which you can attend and this give you the knowledge of your addiction. You also have counselling sessions once a week which helps massively🙏🏼 Cassiobury court feels like your home with your family. Leaving today was so tough as I left so many amazing people behind there. However this is the new start of my journey, I have the right tools behind me this time and I would never of been able to do it without cassiobury. Also big up the chiefs there! The food is AMAZING!!!!! I put on over a stone in 4 weeks…I think that says it all! Thank you cassiobury for giving me a new and improved way of living.

This is a treatment centre of the highest calibre. The staff are all highly professional, knowledgeable, approachable and caring. They are a hope-filled resource for any addiction advice and life advice. The wholistic approach of the treatment itself was highly beneficial. As a brief overview, it encompassed: Group sessions, which was a great opportunity to learn about addiction, effective methods of controlling thoughts, emotions and how to incorporate these new skills into daily life and recovery. Mindfulness sessions that taught us the basics of meditation, breathing techniques and emotional regulation. One-to-one sessions with my key worker gave me the guidance needed to incorporate the learned material into an easy to follow recovery plan. My key worker also identified various areas of additional support which will further my recovery both during my stay at Cassiobury Court and in my general daily life. I found the private sessions with the remarkable therapists and psychologist extremely valuable for realigning my values in life so as to seek solace in my pursuits as well as becoming more emotionally centred. As a result I now see the joys in life and not the negatives. On a final note, I commend their high endeavours to offer clean, safe and comfortable living quarters with delicious hot food. They even took care of my laundry for me so that I was able to focus on my health and recovery without distraction. If you are seeking recovery by means of treatment and NOT punishment then Cassiobury Court is quite literally a LIFE SAVER.

My experience at CC has been truly life-changing. During my 4-week stay I managed to turn my life around with the help of the recovery programme CC has given me. All staff are very professional, supportive, friendly and approachable. I could turn to anyone at any time of the day if I needed help or simply anyone to talk to. The sessions are very informative and engaging. The feeling of community is unparallelled. I enjoyed a combination of 1-2-1 meetings/therapy sessions, group workshops, creative sessions and social activities. taught about multiple concepts and techniques to enable my recover. The facility itself, alongside with the quality of food and housekeeping is excellent. The atmosphere at CC made me feel safe, welcomed and understood. I would strongly recommend CC to any sufferingaddicts seeking a long-term recovery. My only suggestion was to arrange activities between group meetings and some exercise equipment. The table tennis table and the TV in the main group meeting room needs fixing for normal TV programmes. Apart fruthe issues above I would recommend CC for rehabilitation

I spent 28 days here and was honestly the best experiences of my life, Rebecca and Idel saved my life but every single team member played there part including the house keepers , nearly everyone that is there including therapist are in recovery , it the only place ive ever been where people understand me and my mind instantly and they give you the tools to change your life. I needed to be separated from alcohol and initially booked in for a two week alcohol detox. A couple of days in however i knew i was in a good 12 step based rehab. I decided then another 2 weeks was necessary to get a good solid start for my recovery journey. I have experience of a 12 step program, it had worked for me for some years prior. Cassiobury Ct had a good, varied program. I learnt so much more about myself and addiction. The staff were all compassionate and knowledgeable. Many had been where i was. I felt safe in CC. I was fortunate to be surrounded by very supportive peers, we cried together and we laughed together. I walked in feeling such a failure , since leaving i have held my head high.
