Who We Are

Cassiobury Court is a private residential drug and alcohol rehab located in Richmond Drive, Watford, just 20 minutes from central London. We are part of Step 1 Recovery Group, whose mission is to create the best possible healing environments and staffed by expert professionals in every field of addiction and recovery.

Since we opened in 2011, we have supported more than 3,000 people through structured, evidence-based treatment programmes. Our clients include individuals, their families, and people referred by employers, GPs, and other healthcare providers. Whether you are looking for help for the first time or have struggled through previous attempts at recovery, our approach is the same. Personalised, compassionate, and focused entirely on change that will last.

Our 22 bed facility offers a calm, confidential residential environment where individuals can focus fully on recovery. We are able to accept self referrals, family referrals and employer referrals, and our admissions team is available 7 days a week.

Our team includes experienced counsellors, psychologists, and medical professionals specialising in addiction treatment and mental health. We are passionate about helping people overcome addiction and achieve their goals for a healthier and happier life.

We hold the highest professional standards here at our CQC-registered rehab centre. Our fully trained GPs, Physchiatristes, Support Workers, Counsellors and Mental Health Nurses can deliver a comprehensive rehabilitation programme.

I stayed at Cassiobury Court for 28 days in December 2021 to January 2022 and I'm now 110 days clean and sober. The level of care and support you receive here from all the staff is outstanding. From admissions, to leaving through to aftercare I cannot thank everybody enough. They tirelessly go above and beyond to help every individual to get them back on track with detox, step work, one-to-one therapy, group therapy, acupuncture, fitness and good food. Each patient is different and the staff keep a very close eye on each individuals personal circumstances and try to guide them to the best of their abilities. Truely inspirational as have all been through the hell of addiction themselves so there is zero judgement. If you want it bad enough this is the safest environment to be in. I actually miss them all!!!

Had the most amazing experience at Cassiobury Court, guided me through my issues and left me full of knowledge, positivity and hope. The amazing staff are always smiling, always offering sound advice when needed, and always there if you just need a chat, they treat you as their peers and make you feel instantly relaxed. Couldn't recommend the place more - go in with an open mind, be honest about everything and be willing to recover! (P.s. also great food ?)

Cassiobury court and all the members of staff not only saved my life, they changed my life, before I attended cassiobury court my life was an existence, today I live. I have many treatment centers near me, however I didn't want convenience, I wanted to get well, I travelled across the country to attend cassiobury court, and it was the best thing I've ever done. The staff are absolutely first class from top to bottom, if yourself or a loved one are needing help I would urge you to seek the help of cassiobury court, life savers and life changers. Today I have a life and I will never forget the tools this place gave me to continue living my life.

I have spent some time at Cassiobury Court over the last 6 months and cannot speak more highly of the experience. I admitted myself for alcohol addiction and was very scared when I arrived and did not have any idea what to expect. The staff could not have been kinder to me. I wanted to leave on day 2 because I was very anxious and out of my comfort zone, but fortunately staff members calmed me down and I ended up staying which I am very glad about. The schedule is very good with group sessions, some one on one sessions and therapy sessions. The food is excellent and the chefs are very accommodating if you wish to have something different. There is a daily trip to the local shop to get any bits you may need. All the staff are amazing, the recovery workers, the management, the chefs and kitchen staff and all that work at Cassiobury are all so caring and it really shows. You have time to get to know the rest of the group and I ended up building close bonds and have kept in contact with many that I met in Cassiobury (and I bump into people I met at meetings outside as well as on the aftercare calls). All in all, if your are considering a treatment centre then I would highly recommend Cassiobury Court, I am very grateful for my time there.

I have just finished up my treatment at Cassiobury Court which is my 2nd in two years. Initially I had gone for only 2 weeks but did 21 days (28 days is still recommended). The staff was absolutely incredibly; knowledgable, supportive, organised and REAL. Addiction is a serious disease and if you are serious about recovery and want to live a strong, healthier, more spiritual and joyful life - you should admit you are powerlessness and get the support from Cassiobury Court. The programs are incredibly valuable in group settings to hear other like experiences with the addition of private `Step (1-3) work and therapy sessions with professionals. If you are looking at this review, it means you are looking for help. Get here, get sober, find your new life starting at Cassiobury Court.

This is a treatment centre of the highest calibre. The staff are all highly professional, knowledgeable, approachable and caring. They are a hope-filled resource for any addiction advice and life advice. The wholistic approach of the treatment itself was highly beneficial. As a brief overview, it encompassed: Group sessions, which was a great opportunity to learn about addiction, effective methods of controlling thoughts, emotions and how to incorporate these new skills into daily life and recovery. Mindfulness sessions that taught us the basics of meditation, breathing techniques and emotional regulation. One-to-one sessions with my key worker gave me the guidance needed to incorporate the learned material into an easy to follow recovery plan. My key worker also identified various areas of additional support which will further my recovery both during my stay at Cassiobury Court and in my general daily life. I found the private sessions with the remarkable therapists and psychologist extremely valuable for realigning my values in life so as to seek solace in my pursuits as well as becoming more emotionally centred. As a result I now see the joys in life and not the negatives. On a final note, I commend their high endeavours to offer clean, safe and comfortable living quarters with delicious hot food. They even took care of my laundry for me so that I was able to focus on my health and recovery without distraction. If you are seeking recovery by means of treatment and NOT punishment then Cassiobury Court is quite literally a LIFE SAVER.

Cassiobury Court is a fantastic, peaceful place to recover. I am leaving today and can’t be more grateful to the staff and fellow residents who have made my stay such a wonderful experience. All the staff are happily prepared to go the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. There are a great range of workshops and activities to help you explore how your mind, body and spirit can assist with your recovery. The kitchen team provide nutritionally balanced food options and if you don’t fancy what is on the menu they are happy to make something to your taste. The rooms, facilities and grounds are immaculately maintained. I am positive about the future.

My experience at CC has been truly life-changing. During my 2-week stay I managed to turn my life around with the help of the recovery programme CC has given me. All staff are very professional, supportive, friendly and approachable. I could turn to anyone at any time of the day if I needed help or simply anyone to talk to. The sessions are very informative and engaging. The feeling of community is unparallelled. I enjoyed a combination of 1-2-1 meetings/therapy sessions, group workshops, creative sessions and social activities. I was exposed to a variety of fellowships, was taught about multiple concepts and techniques to enable my recover. The facility itself, alongside with the quality of food and housekeeping is excellent. The atmosphere at CC made me feel safe, welcomed and understood. I have had serious addiction problems for the last 10 years that have ruined my life and the life of my loved ones. I am in my early 30’s and this was my third time in rehab but my first time staying at Cassiobury Court. The difference between Cassiobury and other facilities is incredible and you can’t compare with the level of support and love. The staff are kind, caring and know exactly what you are going through and what you need to do in order to get better. They have multiple different ways and techniques to support you and go above and beyond in every possible way to help you. Not only do they support you while you’re there but they also support you for the first year you leave with weekly catch up sessions. I have left Cassiobury with a huge network of people in recovery. Before I was lost and alone. I can’t thank Cassiobury enough for giving me another chance at life and I’ll be forever truly grateful ❤️❤️❤️

I needed to be separated from alcohol and initially booked in for a two week alcohol detox. A couple of days in however i knew i was in a good 12 step based rehab. I decided then another 2 weeks was necessary to get a good solid start for my recovery journey. I have experience of a 12 step program, it had worked for me for some years prior. Cassiobury Ct had a good, varied program. I learnt so much more about myself and addiction. The staff were all compassionate and knowledgeable. Many had been where i was. I felt safe in CC. I was fortunate to be surrounded by very supportive peers, we cried together and we laughed together. I walked in feeling such a failure , since leaving i have held my head high.
