Crack Cocaine Rehab

Crack cocaine or “Crack” is a highly addictive class A recreational drug. Consumed via smoking, crack cocaine is even more addictive than regular powdered cocaine due to its rapid brain absorption and intense dopamine hit.

As a stimulant, its effects include a sense of energy and euphoria over a very short amount of time, roughly 10 minutes. After that, the resulting comedown and withdrawal symptoms can include depression and irritability.

Understanding Crack Cocaine Addiction

Cocaine is already a highly addictive substance in its powdered form. Crack cocaine even more so due to its rapid activation and reduction.

Regular cocaine hangovers or comedowns can cause mood swings and depression, leading users to seek more to overcome these negative feelings. The same symptoms from crack use are amplified and are one of the strongest triggers to consume more, leading to addiction.

Cocaine is also regularly used with other substances, such as alcohol, which can intensify these effects.

Through this cycle, it’s clear to see how easily an addiction can develop. Cocaine addicts feel intense cravings and find it difficult to go without it in their system, no matter how short-lived the buzz they experience may be.

Signs & Symptoms of Crack Cocaine Addiction

Using cocaine can affect many of your cognitive functions including decision-making, confidence and energy levels. Some studies have even found links between cocaine use and aggressive behaviour.

Cocaine use can cause a number of different changes to a person’s physique and behaviour, making the signs of addiction easy to identify.

If you’re worried about your own use or someone else’s, here are several signs that you should look out for:

  • Rapid weight loss
  • Lingering cough
  • Dilated pupils and red eyes
  • Persistent cravings for more
  • Irritability
  • Paranoia
  • Reclusion
  • Neglecting family and friends

This was my first stay at a rehab facility and I entered for a 28 day stay. I came through the gates feeling like a hopeless lost child who had exhausted all other avenues, and now leave as a strong and hopeful individual with all the tools I need to carry on my sobriety journey on the outside. The day one, all the staff were caring and attentive, catering for all of your needs and explaining everything perfectly in a calm and friendly manner - you felt welcomed straight away. All of the days were filled with useful and varied sessions, with a structured routine, but still time to socialise and get to know your peers. One to one therapy sessions were invaluable, and I learnt a lot from my sessions which were conducted in a professional but caring manner, and have given me many techniques to take with me. Also the one to one key work sessions were brilliant, guiding you on your journey in a straightforward, constructive but also compassionate way. Also thanks to all of the amazing staff who ran all of our group sessions, I gained so much from these. The food was excellent, as well as the medical and housekeeping staff who ensured that you could focus your time and energy on your recovery at all times. For anyone seeking help with an addiction, I would 100% recommend Cassiobury Court.

Well well well… what an experience I have had during my time in Cassiobury Court. 6 months I have spent in the building. I came in as a broken girl not knowing where to turn, I’m leaving here a positive woman, with a totally different outlook on life, I haven’t learnt so much about myself and also about the mind uttering substances that change your life for the worst. The staff is Cassiobury Court are indescribable, they showed me love when I didn’t love myself, they believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself and most of all they helped shape me into the girl I am today. The house keeping was on point as was the maintenance and also the food. I cannot recommend this place enough. This building and the staff have that much of a special place e in my heart I even had a tattoo done. I’m so grateful for you all and will forever appreciate you❤️

A superb venue for anyone who would like to begin the real journey of recovery from addiction. Every single member of staff cares and they cannot do enough with an always cheerful approach and outlook. This was my third visit to different Rehabs and this one has made by far the most difference. The therapy is second to none and the food is outstanding. Highly recommended.

I recently spent time at Cassiobury Court and I genuinely can’t speak highly enough of the experience. The support staff were exceptional. The therapists were insightful, grounded, and actually listened. Even the behind-the-scenes team, the cleaners and the chefs, played a huge part in making the environment feel safe and cared for. Special mention to Alan in the kitchen. What stood out most was how comprehensive the programme is. It doesn’t just scratch the surface of addiction, it goes deeper, looking at the patterns, the behaviours, and the root causes, all delivered with real care and respect. If someone is serious about getting support, this is a place that truly delivers. Like everything in life, you get out what you put in. Keep up the amazing work- you’re saving lives.

My experience at CC has been truly life-changing. During my 4-week stay I managed to turn my life around with the help of the recovery programme CC has given me. All staff are very professional, supportive, friendly and approachable. I could turn to anyone at any time of the day if I needed help or simply anyone to talk to. The sessions are very informative and engaging. The feeling of community is unparallelled. I enjoyed a combination of 1-2-1 meetings/therapy sessions, group workshops, creative sessions and social activities. taught about multiple concepts and techniques to enable my recover. The facility itself, alongside with the quality of food and housekeeping is excellent. The atmosphere at CC made me feel safe, welcomed and understood. I would strongly recommend CC to any sufferingaddicts seeking a long-term recovery. My only suggestion was to arrange activities between group meetings and some exercise equipment. The table tennis table and the TV in the main group meeting room needs fixing for normal TV programmes. Apart fruthe issues above I would recommend CC for rehabilitation

Crack Addiction Recovery

Due to its addictive nature, it can be difficult to withdraw and detox from crack cocaine on your own.

As the drug causes intense stimulation to your brain through increased dopamine production, you’ll experience a strong feeling of happiness and energy. Unfortunately, these levels of dopamine can’t be produced organically by the body, and users will continue to abuse the drug to achieve those feelings again.

Therefore, the effects of crack withdrawal can be debilitating. Thankfully, full recovery is possible with effective treatment and support.

Can You Recover On Your Own?

Recovery from crack cocaine addiction is possible, but it is extremely difficult. Because of its intense effects and comedowns, many will struggle to come clean on their own.

Professional help from a private rehab centre provides a much safer, far more controlled environment to detox and recover. With teams of medical experts on site 24/7, you’re never left to work through your recovery alone, and they’ll know exactly how to help you.
