Drug and Alcohol Rehab St Austell

It can be difficult to access timely, effective addiction treatment in Cornwall. If you are looking for a high-quality drug and alcohol rehab in St Austell or the surrounding areas, it might be worth considering Cassiobury Court.

It’s essential to find the right treatment centre for your own individual needs rather than simply the closest one, especially given the fact that residential rehab involves staying on the premises to get tailored, targeted addiction treatment.

Private inpatient rehab can offer several benefits compared to outpatient treatment via the NHS or local authority services. These include immediate admission, medically supervised detox, complete privacy and tailored recovery programmes. You can also focus on your recovery in a safe and comfortable environment, away from the people, places and triggers associated with your drinking or drug use.

Cassiobury Court welcomes clients from across Cornwall, including St Austell, Truro, Newquay, Bodmin and more.

Drug and Alcohol Rehab St Austell: What We Treat

We treat a wide range of addictions, including addiction to alcohol, cocaine, cannabis, illicit opioids like heroin and prescription medication misuse, which can also include strong opioid painkillers.

We also offer mental health treatment, including dual diagnosis treatment. This is when co-existing addiction and mental health conditions are treated at the same time. This is important because an unaddressed mental health issue could trigger a substance misuse relapse further down the line.

How Our Treatment Process Works

All our treatment programmes are tailored to the individual, but there are some common elements you are likely to encounter. Everyone undergoes an initial assessment to ensure that the tailored treatment itself is safe and appropriate.

This is usually followed by detox, during which intense cravings and a range of physical and psychological withdrawal symptoms may accompany. This can be very difficult to go through alone, and many people going ‘cold turkey’ without assistance will fall at the hurdle. It is far safer and more comfortable to undergo a medically supervised detox in a dedicated detox clinic or rehab.

Therapies to address the psychological aspects of addiction may include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, group therapy, counselling and other evidence-based techniques. Complementary therapies like mindfulness and art therapy can also play a part.

The recovery process does not end when you leave our centre, which is why we also provide 12 months of free structured aftercare to provide vital support as you move forward.

Facilities, Comfort & Safety at Cassiobury Court

We offer a comfortable, secure environment with 24-hour professional supervision and a commitment to dignity and safety. We are fully CQC compliant.

Cassiobury Court is set in the grounds of an old coaching house and stables and offers a tranquil setting in which you can focus on your delivery free of the ‘noise’ of everyday life. We have private rooms and comfortable communal spaces, including gardens, a courtyard and an outdoor seating area.

Nutrition is important in recovery, and we also offer chef-cooked meals designed to fulfil nutritional needs that may have been neglected during long periods of substance misuse.

Travelling from St Austell

Getting to our Watford facility from St Austell by road involves a more or less straight drive along the A30 and A303. If you prefer motorway driving you can take the M% instead. Alternatively, there are train connections available, usually via London Paddington and Watford Junction. Assistance in arranging transport or private collection can also be arranged, although there will be an extra cost involved with the collection.

Cost, Duration & What’s Included

The cost of rehab can vary quite widely, depending on the type of detox involved and the length of stay, with 7, 14, 21 and 28-day programmes all being common options. In general, though, a 21 or 28-day stay is generally best for a thorough and holistic rehabilitation programme. This can seem expensive, but leaving an addiction unchecked can be far more costly in the long run, not only financially but in terms of relationships, health and general well-being.

The cost will include clinical detox (if required), accommodation, therapy, meals and aftercare. We can discuss all costs transparently once we understand the requirements, and there will be no hidden fees.

Aftercare for St Austell & Cornwall Clients

If you were initially looking for drug rehab in St Austell or alcohol rehab in St Austell, you may think that travelling to Watford for aftercare would be a chore. Thankfully, these days, aftercare support can be delivered very effectively on a remote online basis.

Aftercare can include reintegration support, relapse prevention groups and ongoing contact with therapists. We can also signpost local and national community resources such as With You, local Alcoholics Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous meetings or Talk To Frank.

Take the First Step and Speak to Our Admissions Team

If you are ready to take the first step towards a healthier, happier life, contact our team for more information, advice, or to start the admission process rolling.

Don’t forget, your recovery can start today. One call could change everything.

The only way that I can start this review is by saying that Cassiobury Court saved my life. I have had a severe problem with alcohol for over 10 years and I almost lost everything, but due to the care, consideration and commitment the facility has to offer, I have been given the opportunity to start again and live a full life with sobriety. The sessions have not only taught me more about the illness and severity of it, but has also equipped me with the coping mechanisms and skills to manage those negative feelings and maintain a happy & healthy lifestyle. Each Recovery Practitioner provides a different approach and continued to show their professionalism and dedication to the cause before and even after my stay. I will be forever grateful to Cassiobury and I couldn’t recommend it more.

My last day of a 28 day programme at Cassio, what can I say? The best decision I ever made, the staff are amazing, kind, considerate, nothing is too much and they always know everyone’s name so a very personal touch. The group sessions are so informative and with lots of humour thrown in. Food, fantastic Alan the chef is great.
Therapists and practitioners are top notch! Highly recommend Cassio, and the more you put into your recovery the more you will get out. I am leaving a different person and with tools to work the programme once those gates open!
    Thanks Cassio!!!

Cassiobury Court is a fantastic, peaceful place to recover. I am leaving today and can’t be more grateful to the staff and fellow residents who have made my stay such a wonderful experience.

All the staff are happily prepared to go the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible.

There are a great range of workshops and activities to help you explore how your mind, body and spirit can assist with your recovery.

The kitchen team provide nutritionally balanced food options and if you don’t fancy what is on the menu they are happy to make something to your taste.

The rooms, facilities and grounds are immaculately maintained.

I am positive about the future.

This is a treatment centre of the highest calibre. The staff are all highly professional, knowledgeable, approachable and caring. They are a hope-filled resource for any addiction advice and life advice.

The wholistic approach of the treatment itself was highly beneficial. As a brief overview, it encompassed:

Group sessions, which was a great opportunity to learn about addiction, effective methods of controlling thoughts, emotions and how to incorporate these new skills into daily life and recovery.

Mindfulness sessions that taught us the basics of meditation, breathing techniques and emotional regulation.

One-to-one sessions with my key worker gave me the guidance needed to incorporate the learned material into an easy to follow recovery plan. My key worker also identified various areas of additional support which will further my recovery both during my stay at Cassiobury Court and in my general daily life. I found the private sessions with the remarkable therapists and psychologist extremely valuable for realigning my values in life so as to seek solace in my pursuits as well as becoming more emotionally centred. As a result I now see the joys in life and not the negatives.

On a final note, I commend their high endeavours to offer clean, safe and comfortable living quarters with delicious hot food. They even took care of my laundry for me so that I was able to focus on my health and recovery without distraction.

If you are seeking recovery by means of treatment and NOT
punishment then Cassiobury Court is quite literally a LIFE SAVER.

I came into Cassiobury Court after years of trying to stop on my own, after years of abusing myself physically and mentally i finally came in with the willingness to ask for help and that is what i recieved.
Although nervous when I first came in i was greeted with an incredibly friendly and supportive team, I was made to feel at ease and given privacy but i also knew help was ready and available when i needed it

The workshops, counselling and advice all felt they were tailored to me rather then just being another client and i was encouraged to start seeing the postives of life rather then the negatives, I enjoyed every workshop and the social aspect that came with meeting a group of like minded people and felt that i was being heard and understood.
Since leaving i have re started my life and had support from everyone along the way

I would highly recommend them. To anyone who feels they may be struggling.

I entered through the gates of Cassiobury court a very frightened and ill women. This was my first time in treatment and from the start I was made to feel welcome and loved by all the staff.
Once going through my detox , I finally started joining the group workshops and meeting my peers.
This place is amazing , every day you have a routine starting with breakfast and then onto group lessons and ex clients coming in to share their journey with you , which is the best thing ever as they have walked the same steps as you and you can really relate to them and see the hope that their is life after addiction .
You are encouraged to work hard but also have some freedom to rest if needed.
I found my mind opening to finally understand the illness I have been suffering from and to see its not only ME on my own , there are other people like me out there.
Nearly every staff member is in recovery , which is so important as they understand what you are going through and teach you the tools to be able to maintain this once you leave rehab .
You also have the opportunity to go to AA and CA meetings in Watford which is great as you go as a group and then gives you the confidence to continue once you leave .
My keyworker was Rebecca and can not thank her enough , she really is AMAZING and has helped me so much . She is very honest and open and shares her journey with you which gives you the encouragement to feel safe and be able to open up and share yours with her xx
Every member of staff in this place is full of so much knowledge and kindness . You always have someone to talk to if you need a chat or any help .
The food is also fantastic ,Alan and Paula do an amazing job .
There is menu every day and if you don’t like what is on offer you can always ask them to make you something else.
Sam and her team do a brilliant job of keeping your rooms clean /maintenance of the building . And again if there is anything you are not happy with or need you can always go to Sam and she will do her best to help you
I have been very lucky to have meet some fantastic and supportive peers at my time in CC.
Rebecca , Ayo , Martin , Gerard , Seth , Jane , Alison , Shipra , Laura , Sam , Raffa , Patricia and every member of staff I thank you from the bottom of my heart

Drug and Alcohol Rehab FAQs

This may depend on availability but for certain cases we can usually offer urgent rehab admissions. This expedited process can take 24-48 hours but may sometimes involve same-day admission.

You should bring suitable comfortable clothing, including nightwear and clothing for outside. You can also bring books, musical instruments and devices such as phones or laptops. We do have complementary Wi-Fi, but there will be times (particularly during therapy and group activities) when we ask that devices remain off.

The length of stay can vary, but 21 or 28-day stays are fairly typical for a comprehensive rehab programme.

We encourage family and friends to visit but this must be arranged beforehand. Visits usually take place on Sunday afternoons. Family therapy sessions may also be an option for some treatment programmes.

Our Treatment Centres

We have local CQC-approved rehab treatment centres around the United Kingdom where you will find our friendly team of doctors, nurses, and support staff. Our team aim to provide the best care possible for every client we treat. We focus on safety and support to help people achieve long-term recovery in a warm, caring and tranquil environment.
