Drug and Alcohol Rehab St Austell

It can be difficult to access timely, effective addiction treatment in Cornwall. If you are looking for a high-quality drug and alcohol rehab in St Austell or the surrounding areas, it might be worth considering Cassiobury Court.

It’s essential to find the right treatment centre for your own individual needs rather than simply the closest one, especially given the fact that residential rehab involves staying on the premises to get tailored, targeted addiction treatment.

Private inpatient rehab can offer several benefits compared to outpatient treatment via the NHS or local authority services. These include immediate admission, medically supervised detox, complete privacy and tailored recovery programmes. You can also focus on your recovery in a safe and comfortable environment, away from the people, places and triggers associated with your drinking or drug use.

Cassiobury Court welcomes clients from across Cornwall, including St Austell, Truro, Newquay, Bodmin and more.

Drug and Alcohol Rehab St Austell: What We Treat

We treat a wide range of addictions, including addiction to alcohol, cocaine, cannabis, illicit opioids like heroin and prescription medication misuse, which can also include strong opioid painkillers.

We also offer mental health treatment, including dual diagnosis treatment. This is when co-existing addiction and mental health conditions are treated at the same time. This is important because an unaddressed mental health issue could trigger a substance misuse relapse further down the line.

How Our Treatment Process Works

All our treatment programmes are tailored to the individual, but there are some common elements you are likely to encounter. Everyone undergoes an initial assessment to ensure that the tailored treatment itself is safe and appropriate.

This is usually followed by detox, during which intense cravings and a range of physical and psychological withdrawal symptoms may accompany. This can be very difficult to go through alone, and many people going ‘cold turkey’ without assistance will fall at the hurdle. It is far safer and more comfortable to undergo a medically supervised detox in a dedicated detox clinic or rehab.

Therapies to address the psychological aspects of addiction may include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, group therapy, counselling and other evidence-based techniques. Complementary therapies like mindfulness and art therapy can also play a part.

The recovery process does not end when you leave our centre, which is why we also provide 12 months of free structured aftercare to provide vital support as you move forward.

Facilities, Comfort & Safety at Cassiobury Court

We offer a comfortable, secure environment with 24-hour professional supervision and a commitment to dignity and safety. We are fully CQC compliant.

Cassiobury Court is set in the grounds of an old coaching house and stables and offers a tranquil setting in which you can focus on your delivery free of the ‘noise’ of everyday life. We have private rooms and comfortable communal spaces, including gardens, a courtyard and an outdoor seating area.

Nutrition is important in recovery, and we also offer chef-cooked meals designed to fulfil nutritional needs that may have been neglected during long periods of substance misuse.

Travelling from St Austell

Getting to our Watford facility from St Austell by road involves a more or less straight drive along the A30 and A303. If you prefer motorway driving you can take the M% instead. Alternatively, there are train connections available, usually via London Paddington and Watford Junction. Assistance in arranging transport or private collection can also be arranged, although there will be an extra cost involved with the collection.

Cost, Duration & What’s Included

The cost of rehab can vary quite widely, depending on the type of detox involved and the length of stay, with 7, 14, 21 and 28-day programmes all being common options. In general, though, a 21 or 28-day stay is generally best for a thorough and holistic rehabilitation programme. This can seem expensive, but leaving an addiction unchecked can be far more costly in the long run, not only financially but in terms of relationships, health and general well-being.

The cost will include clinical detox (if required), accommodation, therapy, meals and aftercare. We can discuss all costs transparently once we understand the requirements, and there will be no hidden fees.

Aftercare for St Austell & Cornwall Clients

If you were initially looking for drug rehab in St Austell or alcohol rehab in St Austell, you may think that travelling to Watford for aftercare would be a chore. Thankfully, these days, aftercare support can be delivered very effectively on a remote online basis.

Aftercare can include reintegration support, relapse prevention groups and ongoing contact with therapists. We can also signpost local and national community resources such as With You, local Alcoholics Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous meetings or Talk To Frank.

Take the First Step and Speak to Our Admissions Team

If you are ready to take the first step towards a healthier, happier life, contact our team for more information, advice, or to start the admission process rolling.

Don’t forget, your recovery can start today. One call could change everything.

I have just finished up my treatment at Cassiobury Court which is my 2nd in two years. Initially I had gone for only 2 weeks but did 21 days (28 days is still recommended). The staff was absolutely incredibly; knowledgable, supportive, organised and REAL.

Addiction is a serious disease and if you are serious about recovery and want to live a strong, healthier, more spiritual and joyful life – you should admit you are powerlessness and get the support from Cassiobury Court.

The programs are incredibly valuable in group settings to hear other like experiences with the addition of private `Step (1-3) work and therapy sessions with professionals.

If you are looking at this review, it means you are looking for help.

I have recently completed a 28 day stay at Cassiobury Court (CC) Rehabilitation Facility.

I walked up to the gates of CC in total despair. I was a broken man. A man with no purpose in life. I had been drinking for 31 years. I had lost everything – family, friends, job, houses, cars and I hated myself with a passion! I couldn’t even look at myself in the mirror. All because of the dreaded disease called ALCOHOL! I wasn’t living, just merely existing!

I came to realise that I was unable to beat my addiction on my own. I had no choice but to surrender and ask for help. I hadn’t asked anyone for help in all my life – my ego and pride when drinking was just too big!

I needed help from CC and the staff certainly delivered on all levels. My stay at CC was very enlightening – a phenomenal experience! The best decision I have ever made in my life! A very humbling experience.

The staff at CC are all very loving, caring and willing to help their clients to succeed. It’s like they do what they do because they genuinely want to support you and save your life from addiction. They all treat you with the utmost respect and all are willing to meet your specific needs. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I cannot praise the staff at CC enough for all the love, care support and help they give to every client; Management, Therapists, Key Workers, Kitchen Staff, Housekeeping and Maintenance.
The staff all treat you as an equal and I now regard them all as family – “My CC family!”.

The group sessions are taken by Therapists and Key Workers who all conduct themselves in a very professional manner. The daily schedule is very structured. The staff who run these sessions all have great expertise and experience to help you on your journey to recovery. I have certainly left CC with the tools I need to sustain many happy and sober years ahead of me. I am eternally grateful to them for giving me this opportunity!

The setting of CC is one of tranquility. It is in very peaceful surroundings. The is a lovely courtyard/gardens available for clients and staff to use at their leisure. The rooms and communal areas are all well maintained. The food is outstanding and fully trained staff are available for all you medical, dietry and general requirements.

My overall experience of CC is sensational! I highly recommend that if you are suffering from addiction and want the best opportunity to rebuild your life and future, then your journey to recovery should start at CC.

My love and best wishes to all at CC.

I can’t rate Cassiobury Court residential clinic more highly!

My 14 day stay (after two previous stays at different clinics) was amazing – constructive, enlightening and enjoyable.

My positive experience flowed through right from the very start of the process with my telephone conversations with the admissions team, and once we’d had an initial chat and an assessment, they arranged for a driver to pick me up at 10 o’clock the next morning to drive me the 140 miles from West Dorset to the clinic.

The staff were incredibly welcoming, caring and non-judgmental. I was able to start my detox only an hour or so after my arrival after having a Zoom call with the Doctor. From then on the medical team were always on hand if and when necessary.

A high ratio of the staff are in recovery themselves which means that they knew personally what I was going through, which was both comforting and motivating.

My room was clean, light and bright and I had everything that I needed.

The food was of a very high standard and the chef was flexible and willing to go that extra mile for any special requests.

The group sessions were varied, interesting and run by highly knowledgeable staff. These were backed up by excellent 1-1 sessions with my allocated key worker and allocated therapist.

I can’t stress enough how much new information I learnt in just 14 days.

I have left Cassiobury Court with a renewed determination to start working the 12 step programme and to do what I’m told – as the people who have been giving me this advice are proof to me that I too can change my life for the better as they have.

A huge thank you to you all!

    Jennie

A really great place to get back on your feet and begin recovery. Staff could not be more helpful, therapy and groups are generally excellent. Rooms are very clean and well appointed, though size and ensuite is a bit of a lottery. Food is really very good, everyones tastes are catered for and in abundance. Snacks water juices, tea’s and coffee’s available 247. I would highly recommend Cassio to anyone looking to get sober change there life.

I came into Cassiobury Court after years of trying to stop on my own, after years of abusing myself physically and mentally i finally came in with the willingness to ask for help and that is what i recieved.
Although nervous when I first came in i was greeted with an incredibly friendly and supportive team, I was made to feel at ease and given privacy but i also knew help was ready and available when i needed it

The workshops, counselling and advice all felt they were tailored to me rather then just being another client and i was encouraged to start seeing the postives of life rather then the negatives, I enjoyed every workshop and the social aspect that came with meeting a group of like minded people and felt that i was being heard and understood.
Since leaving i have re started my life and had support from everyone along the way

I would highly recommend them. To anyone who feels they may be struggling.

Drug and Alcohol Rehab FAQs

This may depend on availability but for certain cases we can usually offer urgent rehab admissions. This expedited process can take 24-48 hours but may sometimes involve same-day admission.

You should bring suitable comfortable clothing, including nightwear and clothing for outside. You can also bring books, musical instruments and devices such as phones or laptops. We do have complementary Wi-Fi, but there will be times (particularly during therapy and group activities) when we ask that devices remain off.

The length of stay can vary, but 21 or 28-day stays are fairly typical for a comprehensive rehab programme.

We encourage family and friends to visit but this must be arranged beforehand. Visits usually take place on Sunday afternoons. Family therapy sessions may also be an option for some treatment programmes.

Our Treatment Centres

We have local CQC-approved rehab treatment centres around the United Kingdom where you will find our friendly team of doctors, nurses, and support staff. Our team aim to provide the best care possible for every client we treat. We focus on safety and support to help people achieve long-term recovery in a warm, caring and tranquil environment.
