Drug and Alcohol Rehab Bude

Signs You Need Addiction Treatment

There are a number of signs that you may require addiction treatment at a residential rehab centre. Addiction can develop in anyone, from an alcohol use disorder to a prescription drug addiction, and it is not always easy to accept that you need help.

Some signs that you require treatment include:

  • Using alcohol or drugs regularly
  • Feeling unable to function without substances
  • Consuming alcohol or drugs at inappropriate times
  • Behaviour changes, such as mood swings and irritability
  • Mental health problems such as anxiety or depression
  • Lack of interest in hobbies or passions
  • Reduced work rate
  • Withdrawal symptoms when not using drugs or drinking alcohol

If you are experiencing a few of the above signs and symptoms of addiction, seeking professional support is the best way to recover. Treatment options for addiction in Bude include local GPs, outpatient rehab programmes and inpatient treatment at a rehab clinic nearby such as ours at Cassiobury Court.

Find out more about our rehab programmes below:

Drug and Alcohol Detox in Bude

The first stage of drug and alcohol rehab in Bude is the detox process. Although this is widely considered to be the hardest stage of rehab, our medically assisted detox is controlled by medical professionals and managed with prescribed medications.

Drug or alcohol detox typically lasts for 5-10 days, but this varies depending on age, metabolism, addiction history and drug type. The entire process takes place in our detox wing and is monitored by recovery specialists to ensure you are as comfortable as possible.

It is common for withdrawal symptoms to be experienced during this stage, but they will be managed as much as possible which is a key benefit of private rehab. Drug and alcohol withdrawal symptoms can include nausea, headaches, depression, cravings, appetite changes, insomnia and sweating.

Residential Addiction Treatments

Once the detox phase has been completed, residents then receive a variety of alcohol and drug addiction therapies to help maintain long term recovery and avoid relapse when returning from rehab in Bude.

Addiction therapies are a key element of rehab treatment and help residents recover from substance abuse long term. Psychological addiction and cravings need to be addressed in order to fully recover, and understanding the underlying causes of addiction is very beneficial to help people stay sober.

Common addiction therapies offered include:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Group therapy
  • Individual therapy & one-to-one counselling
  • Art therapy
  • Mindfulness walks
  • Yoga
  • Motivational interviewing
  • Relapse prevention
  • Aftercare sessions

Aftercare sessions are offered for one year after rehab in Bude for free. Weekly virtual meetings help those in addiction recovery remain motivated and with access to a professional from home.

Choosing Outpatient or Inpatient Rehab in Bude

The biggest decision you will have to make when searching for addiction treatment is the type of rehab you go to. The main forms of recovery are outpatient services which are available in Bude such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous, or private rehab centres such as ours which is located nearby.

These treatments are very different in format and may suit people differently. Outpatient rehab sessions take place weekly and consist of group sessions, whereas inpatient rehab offers comprehensive, full-time treatment.

Whilst outpatient services in Bude are local and allow you to continue your routine alongside treatment, residential rehab centres require a prolonged stay in the centre for the duration of treatment.

It is important to pick the option that suits your needs best – inpatient services are more suitable for people with severe addiction or a long addiction history, where outpatient is a good treatment to help get you on the road to recovery. Find out more about the pros and cons of inpatient rehab below:

Pros and Cons of Private Rehab

  • Intensive form of addiction treatment
  • Safest form of treatment
  • 1 year of aftercare support in Bude
  • 24/7 care in luxury facilities
  • Treatment programmes can be more expensive
  • Rehab may be located a short distance away
  • May need to take time off work
  • Time spent away from family and friends

How Long Does Rehab Last?

The length of rehab treatment depends on your personal needs, but most of our rehab programmes last for 28 days. This enables you to complete the full detox programme as well as fully commit yourself to therapy sessions.

Being prepared for life after drug or alcohol rehab in Bude is another reason why 28-day rehab programmes are recommended.

We also offer 7-day detox-only programmes, as well as longer programmes if people wish to stay. Prescription drug addiction typically lasts longer than other treatment programmes due to the severity of withdrawal symptoms during the withdrawal process.

My experience at CC has been truly life-changing. During my 2-week stay I managed to turn my life around with the help of the recovery programme CC has given me. All staff are very professional, supportive, friendly and approachable. I could turn to anyone at any time of the day if I needed help or simply anyone to talk to. The sessions are very informative and engaging. The feeling of community is unparallelled. I enjoyed a combination of 1-2-1 meetings/therapy sessions, group workshops, creative sessions and social activities. I was exposed to a variety of fellowships, was taught about multiple concepts and techniques to enable my recover. The facility itself, alongside with the quality of food and housekeeping is excellent. The atmosphere at CC made me feel safe, welcomed and understood. I would strongly recommend CC to any suffering addicts seeking a long-term receovery. When you book CC, you won’t regret it!

I am Sam and I arrived at Cassiobury Court for 28 days at the end of May. This was my second rehab experience.

I cannot praise Cassiobury Court enough. Each day was well structured and every group session was designed to give you different tools to sobriety. I learnt so much from all the therapists and key workers that were taking the sessions due to my lack of understanding of this illness. I was in a place where I was made to feel comfortable and no question were silly which encouraged me to dig deeper and ask questions around my illness and myrecovery.

Cassiobury Court approach to recovery, worked very well for me. It was not like Boot Camp. They actually gave me time to digest the information that was given and time to absorb what was said they kind of gave me the balance to learn, but also do every day life things, I also had time to reflect and focus on myself

I would encourage any newcomers to rehab to engage in many group sessions as they can and take out as much as they can out of these sessions the 12 step AA program was explained to me in such a simple way and gave me the confidence to work it.

I would like to give a special thanks to my key worker as she has helped me find a a new sober, Sam. My key worker from the start has been open and honest which has helped me with my recovery.

I would like to also thank all the staff at Cassiobury Court that have had an impact on my road to recovery.

A special thanks to the kitchen staff and the cleaning staff, as by them doing what they do gave me time to focus on myself and not have to worry about cooking and cleaning. The kitchen staff have made sure that I have been eating properly and have helped me build up my strength.

Overall, Cassiobury Court is the place to come to if in need of a medical detox or need to understand what is involved in recovery and give you the opportunity on how to get away from addiction It’s like being given a second sober life.

I cannot thank Cassiobury Court enough.

Id like to thank everyone at Cassiobury Court and I mean everyone, nobody excluded, who helped me with my recovery. I was always treated with love and respect. Everyone is helpful, kind and always very professional with a great sense of humour

This is the most wonderful place, I was so scared and afraid on my first day but within hours I found myself laughing and feeling safe – I just knew I was in the right place.

The staff are simply out of this world. The location is peaceful, beautiful and the accommodation/food excellent

My journey at Cassiobury helped me get on the right side of the road, I stayed focused and happy to say – today I’m still sober

Today I can start living “one day at a time”, they have given me a new life filled with hope, peace and love. Ive never felt happier

A superb venue for anyone who would like to begin the real journey of recovery from addiction. Every single member of staff cares and they cannot do enough with an always cheerful approach and outlook. This was my third visit to different Rehabs and this one has made by far the most difference. The therapy is second to none and the food is outstanding. Highly recommended.
