Private Rehab for Witham & Essex Residents

Unlike the rare inpatient places available via drug and alcohol services or the NHS, private residential rehab also offers a choice of facilities with quick access with no long waiting lists. For people looking for drug rehab in Witham or alcohol rehab in Witham, Cassiobury Court is just a short drive away.

Some people prefer not to go to facilities on their doorstep, even where they are available, for reasons of privacy. As residential rehab is by definition a ‘live in’ solution, the only issue may be how you get there. Luckily, it is only just over an hour’s drive from Witham to our Watford-based clinic.

What We Treat

We have a long experience in treating a range of addictions, including alcohol and illicit drugs such as cocaine heroin and cannabis. We can also treat addictions to new psychoactive substances (NPS’s) such as ‘spice’ and addiction to prescription medications.

Mental health and dual diagnosis treatment can also be an important element of addiction and recovery treatment. Dual diagnosis is when addiction and one or more mental health conditions exist at the same time. It is important to address each at the same time if possible, as addiction, substance misuse and mental health can all affect each other in various ways. Treating an addiction without treating a co-existing mental health issue could increase the risks of relapse further along the road.

How Rehab Works

Our addiction treatment programmes are tailored to each individual but there are a number of basic overall steps that each will share.

It starts with a pre-admission assessment to ensure that rehab is a good fit for you and check your medical history, any health problems and the status of your substance misuse and addiction. This will allow recovery experts to create that tailored plan and ensure that all treatments are safe and appropriate. There will also be further assessments, including a detailed physical, when you arrive.

Most people entering rehab will also undergo a supervised detox. This can help manage cravings and potential withdrawal symptoms, making it safer and easier than trying to go ‘cold turkey’ alone. This will be accompanied or followed by a programme of therapies, which could include counselling, group therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based techniques. Combined with relapse prevention sessions, these aim to give you an understanding of your substance misuse and addiction, along with the tools you need to establish and maintain your recovery.

Finally, a structured aftercare programme will provide you with the support you may need in the challenging periods after you leave rehab.

Facilities & Environment

It’s important that rehab is safe and secure and we comply with all Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards, with round the clock care available. We offer private rooms (with en-suite options available) and private rooms for therapy sessions, alongside communal areas for dining, group activities and relaxing when ‘off duty’.

Cassiobury Court is set in a tranquil residential suburb in grounds that used to house an old stables and coaching house. It still maintains a charming air with lovely gardens and an outside seating area. We provide nutritionally balanced chef-cooked meals

Travelling from Witham

If you’re looking for a rehab near Chelmsford and Witham, Cassiobury Court is only around an hour’s drive via the A12 and a relatively short stretch of the M25. There are also plenty of trains with changes at London Liverpool Street and London Euston.

Costs & Packages

The cost of rehab can vary depending on the accommodation, detox requirements and, the length of your stay. Duration can vary from 1 week to 28 days or more, with 21- or 28-day stays being common.

Once we know your requirements, we can provide detailed and transparent costings with no hidden extras. Certain elements, including detox, therapy packages, accommodation, food and aftercare, will all be built into the price.

Aftercare for Essex Clients

While relapse prevention strategies can give you the tools you need to maintain your recovery, the period following rehab can still be challenging and life without drugs or alcohol can take some getting used to. Aftercare is designed to keep the momentum and motivation going, and to provide vital support when you need it.

Aftercare support sessions can now be delivered remotely online, so there’s no need to return to the rehab in person. We can also signpost local and national support networks, including Open Road and local meetings of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA).
