What Happens at Our Drug and Alcohol Rehab in Sheffield?
At our drug and alcohol rehab, we offer a supportive and confidential environment where individuals seeking recovery from substance misuse can find help and healing. Here’s a simplified overview of what you can expect:
A Welcoming and Understanding Environment
Upon arrival, residents are welcomed into a warm, non-judgmental space where everyone is committed to fostering understanding and mutual respect. Our team consists of individuals who have personal experience with recovery, offering invaluable insight and support.
Personalised Treatment Plans
We recognise that each individual is unique, and we formulate personalised treatment plans to meet specific needs and recovery goals. These plans typically encompass medical detoxification, therapy, counselling, and holistic treatments, all aimed at optimising the chances of long-term recovery.
Medical Detox
For those requiring it, a medically supervised detox is available to manage withdrawal symptoms safely and comfortably, paving the way for subsequent therapeutic interventions. The medical detox is usually the first step in the rehabilitation programme.
Evidence-Based Therapies
Residents have access to a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing the underlying causes of addiction.
Group and Peer Support
Regular group sessions and peer support meetings are facilitated, allowing residents to share their experiences, gain insights, and build a supportive community, which is crucial for sustaining recovery.
Holistic Approach
We believe in treating the whole person, not just the addiction. We offer holistic treatments such as meditation, yoga, and nutrition advice to support overall well-being.
Aftercare and Ongoing Support
Once the formal treatment is completed, residents can avail themselves of ongoing aftercare support and resources to help maintain sobriety and prevent relapse.
Confidentiality and Privacy
We maintain strict confidentiality and privacy policies to ensure that residents feel safe and secure throughout their time with us, protecting the dignity and privacy of everyone in our care.
If you have an alcohol or drug dependency, withdrawal symptoms can be uncomfortable and, in the most severe cases, actually dangerous.
Our treatment programmes are designed to ensure that a medical alcohol detox is taken at the beginning of the rehab process, where you will be fully monitored under the watchful eye of counsellors and medical professionals.
Once your physical dependence on alcohol or drugs has subsided, a range of therapies will be conducted to complete your treatment programme.
This rehabilitative journey is designed to empower residents to rebuild their lives, equipping them with the tools and resilience needed to navigate life free from the constraints of addiction.
We stand as a beacon of hope and healing for those in and around Sheffield, and we are committed to supporting our residents every step of the way.

Id like to thank everyone at Cassiobury Court and I mean everyone, nobody excluded, who helped me with my recovery. I was always treated with love and respect. Everyone is helpful, kind and always very professional with a great sense of humour This is the most wonderful place, I was so scared and afraid on my first day but within hours I found myself laughing and feeling safe - I just knew I was in the right place. The staff are simply out of this world. The location is peaceful, beautiful and the accommodation/food excellent My journey at Cassiobury helped me get on the right side of the road, I stayed focused and happy to say - today I'm still sober Today I can start living "one day at a time", they have given me a new life filled with hope, peace and love. Ive never felt happier Jo
I have spent some time at Cassiobury Court over the last 6 months and cannot speak more highly of the experience. I admitted myself for alcohol addiction and was very scared when I arrived and did not have any idea what to expect. The staff could not have been kinder to me. I wanted to leave on day 2 because I was very anxious and out of my comfort zone, but fortunately staff members calmed me down and I ended up staying which I am very glad about. The schedule is very good with group sessions, some one on one sessions and therapy sessions. The food is excellent and the chefs are very accommodating if you wish to have something different. There is a daily trip to the local shop to get any bits you may need. All the staff are amazing, the recovery workers, the management, the chefs and kitchen staff and all that work at Cassiobury are all so caring and it really shows. You have time to get to know the rest of the group and I ended up building close bonds and have kept in contact with many that I met in Cassiobury (and I bump into people I met at meetings outside as well as on the aftercare calls). All in all, if your are considering a treatment centre then I would highly recommend Cassiobury Court, I am very grateful for my time there.
I entered through the gates of Cassiobury court a very frightened and ill women. This was my first time in treatment and from the start I was made to feel welcome and loved by all the staff. Once going through my detox , I finally started joining the group workshops and meeting my peers. This place is amazing , every day you have a routine starting with breakfast and then onto group lessons and ex clients coming in to share their journey with you , which is the best thing ever as they have walked the same steps as you and you can really relate to them and see the hope that their is life after addiction . You are encouraged to work hard but also have some freedom to rest if needed. I found my mind opening to finally understand the illness I have been suffering from and to see its not only ME on my own , there are other people like me out there. Nearly every staff member is in recovery , which is so important as they understand what you are going through and teach you the tools to be able to maintain this once you leave rehab . You also have the opportunity to go to AA and CA meetings in Watford which is great as you go as a group and then gives you the confidence to continue once you leave . My keyworker was Rebecca and can not thank her enough , she really is AMAZING and has helped me so much . She is very honest and open and shares her journey with you which gives you the encouragement to feel safe and be able to open up and share yours with her xx Every member of staff in this place is full of so much knowledge and kindness . You always have someone to talk to if you need a chat or any help . The food is also fantastic ,Alan and Paula do an amazing job . There is menu every day and if you don't like what is on offer you can always ask them to make you something else. Sam and her team do a brilliant job of keeping your rooms clean /maintenance of the building . And again if there is anything you are not happy with or need you can always go to Sam and she will do her best to help you I have been very lucky to have meet some fantastic and supportive peers at my time in CC. Rebecca , Ayo , Martin , Gerard , Seth , Jane , Alison , Shipra , Laura , Sam , Raffa , Patricia and every member of staff I thank you from the bottom of my heart Kel xxxx
I’ve benefitted hugely from my treatment at Cassiobury Court. In fact I’ve had the best month of the last 2 years. The staff here are the best of the best and I will always recommend this amazing place to anyone I know who requires treatment for any known addiction. Rafa the Manager, Martin, Steve, Seth, Gerard, Oli, Jane, Alison, Rebecca, Paul & George are superb as well as Alan, Paula, Helen and Steve with the unrivalled catering. Cassiobury Court is also excellent value for money compared to other far more expensive but inferior Treatment Clinics. I’m very much looking forward to returning to Chair group meetings in the future. Many thanks to everyone. You’ll always remain affectionately in my heart. Rob.
I came into Cassiobury Court after years of trying to stop on my own, after years of abusing myself physically and mentally i finally came in with the willingness to ask for help and that is what i recieved. Although nervous when I first came in i was greeted with an incredibly friendly and supportive team, I was made to feel at ease and given privacy but i also knew help was ready and available when i needed it The workshops, counselling and advice all felt they were tailored to me rather then just being another client and i was encouraged to start seeing the postives of life rather then the negatives, I enjoyed every workshop and the social aspect that came with meeting a group of like minded people and felt that i was being heard and understood. Since leaving i have re started my life and had support from everyone along the way I would highly recommend them. To anyone who feels they may be struggling.
Cassiobury court takes a special place in my heart for all the help I received. All the staff there are impeccable!! I could not fault it in any way. The managers, key workers, therapists, chefs, doctors, support staff and cleaners make you feel at home. They meet every need and want. I wish to return one day to be able to volunteer or go back and share my story. ❤️
Cassiobury Court is a fantastic, peaceful place to recover. I am leaving today and can’t be more grateful to the staff and fellow residents who have made my stay such a wonderful experience. All the staff are happily prepared to go the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. There are a great range of workshops and activities to help you explore how your mind, body and spirit can assist with your recovery. The kitchen team provide nutritionally balanced food options and if you don’t fancy what is on the menu they are happy to make something to your taste. The rooms, facilities and grounds are immaculately maintained. I am positive about the future.
Cassiobury Court has given me the hope of another chance to live again a sober life that I once had about two decades ago. I was drinking alcohol heavily in recent years that led to so many problems in my life that I can't state here. I wasn't even aware that it is an illness, rather than a habit that I could get rid of just on my willpower before I walked through the doors here. Realization of how much damage this illness has done to my life and my loved ones wouldn't have come to me without the help I have received here. My initial thoughts were that I am going to prison but the ideology here is completely different. If you are willing to recover from alcoholism or in general, any addiction then this is the place to be. If you want to walk out, become a quitter and continue your same life then no one will stop you. Such a set-up really worked for me, especially because if it was a military-type rehabilitation then I would have walked out. All the key workers, counselors, kitchen staff, cleaners, pharmacists, nurses, and fitness & yoga trainers everyone is so accommodating, warm, and helpful beyond my expectations. If someone is really willing to recover then this is the place. Big big thank you to Cassiobury Court for saving me and I wish myself to be successful on my life-long road of recovery.
I spent 2 weeks at Cassiobury, really think it might have saved my life, Jane walked me in on the first day and told me I wouldn't want to leave by the end of it, she wasn't wrong. Every member of staff were amazing and so supportive. Having had two not so good experiences at other rehabs I was very nervous and in a really bad way, at my worst point in drinking ever and thinking there was no way out, but now I feel better than I have in 4 years 🙂 so apprecitive to literally everyone there, so welcoming and understanding. The food is amazing too, and will cater to your needs, felt so looked after and genuinely cared for, will forever be grateful for this experience x
I have recently completed a 28 day stay at Cassiobury Court (CC) Rehabilitation Facility. I walked up to the gates of CC in total despair. I was a broken man. A man with no purpose in life. I had been drinking for 31 years. I had lost everything – family, friends, job, houses, cars and I hated myself with a passion! I couldn’t even look at myself in the mirror. All because of the dreaded disease called ALCOHOL! I wasn’t living, just merely existing! I came to realise that I was unable to beat my addiction on my own. I had no choice but to surrender and ask for help. I hadn’t asked anyone for help in all my life – my ego and pride when drinking was just too big! I needed help from CC and the staff certainly delivered on all levels. My stay at CC was very enlightening – a phenomenal experience! The best decision I have ever made in my life! A very humbling experience. The staff at CC are all very loving, caring and willing to help their clients to succeed. It’s like they do what they do because they genuinely want to support you and save your life from addiction. They all treat you with the utmost respect and all are willing to meet your specific needs. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I cannot praise the staff at CC enough for all the love, care support and help they give to every client; Management, Therapists, Key Workers, Kitchen Staff, Housekeeping and Maintenance. The staff all treat you as an equal and I now regard them all as family – “My CC family!”. The group sessions are taken by Therapists and Key Workers who all conduct themselves in a very professional manner. The daily schedule is very structured. The staff who run these sessions all have great expertise and experience to help you on your journey to recovery. I have certainly left CC with the tools I need to sustain many happy and sober years ahead of me. I am eternally grateful to them for giving me this opportunity! The setting of CC is one of tranquility. It is in very peaceful surroundings. The is a lovely courtyard/gardens available for clients and staff to use at their leisure. The rooms and communal areas are all well maintained. The food is outstanding and fully trained staff are available for all you medical, dietry and general requirements. My overall experience of CC is sensational! I highly recommend that if you are suffering from addiction and want the best opportunity to rebuild your life and future, then your journey to recovery should start at CC. My love and best wishes to all at CC.
