Drug and Alcohol Rehab Buxton

If you’re struggling with drug or alcohol use in Buxton, confidential addiction treatment is available from Cassiobury Court.

Addiction can affect physical health, mental wellbeing almost every aspect of everyday stability – including relationships and work. And it is, unfortunately, surprisingly common. The Derby and Derbyshire Drug and Alcohol Strategic Partnership estimates there are almost 12,000 dependent drinkers across the Derbyshire area, with alcohol responsible for more than 15,000 hospital admissions and nearly 400 deaths each year.

Residential care is available for anyone experiencing alcohol or drug addiction, offering confidential, effective treatment without any judgement.

Residential and Outpatient Rehab

Drug or alcohol rehab may be worth considering in a number of situations, including the presence of withdrawal symptoms, escalating use, loss of control, unsafe behaviour or an unsupportive home environment. It may also be an option for people who have tried other methods unsuccessfully.

Residential rehab is when you stay at the rehab facility during the programme of treatment. This provides structure, allowing intensive treatment delivery and putting you at a distance from triggers associated with your regular substance use.

Outpatient support allows you to remain at home. This is not as focused and there may be triggers and temptations to deal with, but it is more flexible. Severity, risk, support needs and previous treatment outcomes will affect any recommendation.

Get in touch with our friendly, experienced team to start the ball rolling on an initial assessment.

My experience at CC has been truly life-changing. During my 2-week stay I managed to turn my life around with the help of the recovery programme CC has given me. All staff are very professional, supportive, friendly and approachable. I could turn to anyone at any time of the day if I needed help or simply anyone to talk to. The sessions are very informative and engaging. The feeling of community is unparallelled. I enjoyed a combination of 1-2-1 meetings/therapy sessions, group workshops, creative sessions and social activities. I was exposed to a variety of fellowships, was taught about multiple concepts and techniques to enable my recover. The facility itself, alongside with the quality of food and housekeeping is excellent. The atmosphere at CC made me feel safe, welcomed and understood. I would strongly recommend CC to any suffering addicts seeking a long-term receovery. When you book CC, you won’t regret it!

Well well well… what an experience I have had during my time in Cassiobury Court. 6 months I have spent in the building. I came in as a broken girl not knowing where to turn, I’m leaving here a positive woman, with a totally different outlook on life, I haven’t learnt so much about myself and also about the mind uttering substances that change your life for the worst.
The staff is Cassiobury Court are indescribable, they showed me love when I didn’t love myself, they believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself and most of all they helped shape me into the girl I am today. The house keeping was on point as was the maintenance and also the food.
I cannot recommend this place enough.
This building and the staff have that much of a special place e in my heart I even had a tattoo done.
I’m so grateful for you all and will forever appreciate you❤️

The table tennis table and the TV in the main group meeting room needs fixing for normal TV programmes. Apart fruthe issues above I would recommend CC for rehabilitation

I’ve very recently attended the Cassiobury Court rehab facility and highly recommend the services provided. Set in a quiet location with enclosed courtyard the bedrooms, tutorial rooms and dining rooms are well maintained, impeccably clean and mostly modern internally
The biggest plus is the wealth of experience and quality of counsellors, tutors and many of the supporting staff who themselves are recovering alcoholics/ addicts.
Conducted in a structured but relaxed atmosphere the breadth and depth of tuition and counselling is such that it stimulates the open, positive participation of Clients whilst always being supportive of both the group and the individual.
This is greatly enhanced with the attendance of local ‘live’ external CA meetings, zoom meetings and visiting ‘shares’ from recovering addicts.
With superb catering and even a washing and cleaning service included
It’s an experience that bettered my expectations and was great fun also.

I have had serious addiction problems for the last 10 years that have ruined my life and the life of my loved ones. I am in my early 30’s and this was my third time in rehab but my first time staying at Cassiobury Court. The difference between Cassiobury and other facilities is incredible and you can’t compare with the level of support and love. The staff are kind, caring and know exactly what you are going through and what you need to do in order to get better. They have multiple different ways and techniques to support you and go above and beyond in every possible way to help you. Not only do they support you while you’re there but they also support you for the first year you leave with weekly catch up sessions. I have left Cassiobury with a huge network of people in recovery. Before I was lost and alone. I can’t thank Cassiobury enough for giving me another chance at life and I’ll be forever truly grateful ❤️❤️❤️

I recently spent time at Cassiobury Court and I genuinely can’t speak highly enough of the experience.

The support staff were exceptional. The therapists were insightful, grounded, and actually listened. Even the behind-the-scenes team, the cleaners and the chefs, played a huge part in making the environment feel safe and cared for. Special mention to Alan in the kitchen.

What stood out most was how comprehensive the programme is. It doesn’t just scratch the surface of addiction, it goes deeper, looking at the patterns, the behaviours, and the root causes, all delivered with real care and respect.

If someone is serious about getting support, this is a place that truly delivers. Like everything in life, you get out what you put in. Keep up the amazing work- you’re saving lives.

Addictions We Treat at Cassiobury Court

Drug Addictions

Different substances have different effects on the body and mind and can create different physical and psychological treatment needs. Medically supervised detoxification may be essential, for example, in cases where there is a potential for serious harm such as with opioids like heroin. A complete rehab programme will also address the psychological aspects of addiction, which can be just as challenging.

Some of the drug addictions we treat at Cassiobury Court include:

Alcohol Addiction

Drinking is legal and is generally socially acceptable, but alcohol can be every bit as addictive and harmful as many illicit drugs. Harmful drinking can easily slide into dependence, with growing tolerance and alcohol withdrawal symptoms.

Despite its legal status, alcohol can be one of the most dangerous substances to withdraw from. This stage can be physically and psychologically challenging and even life-threatening, which is why alcohol withdrawal can require medical supervision. Therapy as an important part of treatment beyond detox, as it can help to deal with the psychological aspects of addiction and the root causes of alcohol misuse.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment

Some people need integrated support for addiction and co-occurring mental health symptoms such as depression and anxiety. This is important because treating one and neglecting the other could be storing up problems for the future and increasing the possibility of relapse.

The Rehab Process

Our team will explain the programme and help you to prepare before arrival. Every programme is tailored to your own individual needs but will typically include:

Admission

This includes the initial contact, a thorough clinical assessment, the formulation of a recommended programme and planning for your arrival.

Medically Supervised Detox

The level of supervision required for detoxification will depend on the risks of withdrawal. This may involve medical supervision and appropriate medications.

Therapies and Treatments

Beyond detox, treatment will include a combination of individual therapies, group sessions, behavioural approaches, wellbeing activities and relapse prevention sessions.

Aftercare and Relapse Prevention

Recovery does not stop when you leave our facility and return to Buxton. It is an ongoing process and our aftercare package can provide the vital support you need in the weeks and months ahead.

Treatment Durations

Programme lengths will typically last from 7 to 28 days, but longer treatment may be recommended where appropriate.

How to Stop Alcohol Sweats

Sweating is a common physical response when you drink. It can occur while you are drinking, when you’re suffering from a hangover or as a symptom during withdrawal. No one wants to be a hot, sweaty mess all the time, so asking “how to stop alcohol sweats” is a pretty common refrain for people who […]

Despite its reputation as a party drug in some circles, ketamine carries a real risk of harm. Recognising possible signs of ketamine use could help some people to access support before serious harm develops.
