Is Drug and Alcohol Rehab in Didcot the Right Choice?

There are a lot of things you need to consider when deciding on whether rehab is right for you. It’s important to think about the type of treatment you need, the severity of your addiction, your existing support network, your finances and your current health.

Inpatient vs Outpatient

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to addiction treatment; people need different treatments depending on their situation.

  • Inpatient rehab – This type of treatment is when you move into the residential facility for the duration of your programme. You work through a structured environment, completely focused on recovery and surrounded by other clients and addiction professionals.
  • Outpatient rehab – If you need flexibility and your addiction is less severe, outpatient treatment allows you to remain at home but undergo treatment during the day.

Get in touch by calling Cassiobury Court at 0800 001 4070 to find out which rehab method is best for you.

I am Sam and I arrived at Cassiobury Court for 28 days at the end of May. This was my second rehab experience.

I cannot praise Cassiobury Court enough. Each day was well structured and every group session was designed to give you different tools to sobriety. I learnt so much from all the therapists and key workers that were taking the sessions due to my lack of understanding of this illness. I was in a place where I was made to feel comfortable and no question were silly which encouraged me to dig deeper and ask questions around my illness and myrecovery.

Cassiobury Court approach to recovery, worked very well for me. It was not like Boot Camp. They actually gave me time to digest the information that was given and time to absorb what was said they kind of gave me the balance to learn, but also do every day life things, I also had time to reflect and focus on myself

I would encourage any newcomers to rehab to engage in many group sessions as they can and take out as much as they can out of these sessions the 12 step AA program was explained to me in such a simple way and gave me the confidence to work it.

I would like to give a special thanks to my key worker as she has helped me find a a new sober, Sam. My key worker from the start has been open and honest which has helped me with my recovery.

I would like to also thank all the staff at Cassiobury Court that have had an impact on my road to recovery.

A special thanks to the kitchen staff and the cleaning staff, as by them doing what they do gave me time to focus on myself and not have to worry about cooking and cleaning. The kitchen staff have made sure that I have been eating properly and have helped me build up my strength.

Overall, Cassiobury Court is the place to come to if in need of a medical detox or need to understand what is involved in recovery and give you the opportunity on how to get away from addiction It’s like being given a second sober life.

I cannot thank Cassiobury Court enough.

Well well well… what an experience I have had during my time in Cassiobury Court. 6 months I have spent in the building. I came in as a broken girl not knowing where to turn, I’m leaving here a positive woman, with a totally different outlook on life, I haven’t learnt so much about myself and also about the mind uttering substances that change your life for the worst.
The staff is Cassiobury Court are indescribable, they showed me love when I didn’t love myself, they believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself and most of all they helped shape me into the girl I am today. The house keeping was on point as was the maintenance and also the food.
I cannot recommend this place enough.
This building and the staff have that much of a special place e in my heart I even had a tattoo done.
I’m so grateful for you all and will forever appreciate you❤️

I have recently completed a 28 day stay at Cassiobury Court (CC) Rehabilitation Facility.

I walked up to the gates of CC in total despair. I was a broken man. A man with no purpose in life. I had been drinking for 31 years. I had lost everything – family, friends, job, houses, cars and I hated myself with a passion! I couldn’t even look at myself in the mirror. All because of the dreaded disease called ALCOHOL! I wasn’t living, just merely existing!

I came to realise that I was unable to beat my addiction on my own. I had no choice but to surrender and ask for help. I hadn’t asked anyone for help in all my life – my ego and pride when drinking was just too big!

I needed help from CC and the staff certainly delivered on all levels. My stay at CC was very enlightening – a phenomenal experience! The best decision I have ever made in my life! A very humbling experience.

The staff at CC are all very loving, caring and willing to help their clients to succeed. It’s like they do what they do because they genuinely want to support you and save your life from addiction. They all treat you with the utmost respect and all are willing to meet your specific needs. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I cannot praise the staff at CC enough for all the love, care support and help they give to every client; Management, Therapists, Key Workers, Kitchen Staff, Housekeeping and Maintenance.
The staff all treat you as an equal and I now regard them all as family – “My CC family!”.

The group sessions are taken by Therapists and Key Workers who all conduct themselves in a very professional manner. The daily schedule is very structured. The staff who run these sessions all have great expertise and experience to help you on your journey to recovery. I have certainly left CC with the tools I need to sustain many happy and sober years ahead of me. I am eternally grateful to them for giving me this opportunity!

The setting of CC is one of tranquility. It is in very peaceful surroundings. The is a lovely courtyard/gardens available for clients and staff to use at their leisure. The rooms and communal areas are all well maintained. The food is outstanding and fully trained staff are available for all you medical, dietry and general requirements.

My overall experience of CC is sensational! I highly recommend that if you are suffering from addiction and want the best opportunity to rebuild your life and future, then your journey to recovery should start at CC.

My love and best wishes to all at CC.

My last day of a 28 day programme at Cassio, what can I say? The best decision I ever made, the staff are amazing, kind, considerate, nothing is too much and they always know everyone’s name so a very personal touch. The group sessions are so informative and with lots of humour thrown in. Food, fantastic Alan the chef is great.
Therapists and practitioners are top notch! Highly recommend Cassio, and the more you put into your recovery the more you will get out. I am leaving a different person and with tools to work the programme once those gates open!
    Thanks Cassio!!!

My experience at CC has been truly life-changing. During my 2-week stay I managed to turn my life around with the help of the recovery programme CC has given me. All staff are very professional, supportive, friendly and approachable. I could turn to anyone at any time of the day if I needed help or simply anyone to talk to. The sessions are very informative and engaging. The feeling of community is unparallelled. I enjoyed a combination of 1-2-1 meetings/therapy sessions, group workshops, creative sessions and social activities. I was exposed to a variety of fellowships, was taught about multiple concepts and techniques to enable my recover. The facility itself, alongside with the quality of food and housekeeping is excellent. The atmosphere at CC made me feel safe, welcomed and understood. I would strongly recommend CC to any suffering addicts seeking a long-term receovery. When you book CC, you won’t regret it!

Addictions We Treat at Cassiobury Court

At Cassiobury Court, we are capable of treating a wide array of substance addictions.

Drug Addictions

Drug addiction can be especially destructive to your life. Substances can ruin your physical and mental health, impact relationships and your job, lead to legal trouble and make you unrecognisable to yourself. Rehab can help you regain control, end your dependence and give you the tools you need to achieve long-term recovery.

Drug addictions that we can help you overcome include:

Alcohol Addiction

Alcohol addiction can cause severe organ damage, especially to your liver, worsen mental health issues and take over your life. Rehab will help you get clean, realise how alcohol is impacting you and others around you, and you’ll learn healthier coping skills.

Signs of Addiction

Warning signs of addiction can vary between people, but common ones to look out for include:

  • Needing more of the substance to feel the same effect
  • Failed attempts to cut down or stop
  • Withdrawal symptoms
  • Continuing use despite harm to health or relationships
  • Secrecy or lying about use

The Drug and Alcohol Rehab Process

Not knowing what to expect from rehab can stop people from getting the help they need. The process of getting to rehab and the steps you take through it can be straightforward, and knowing what to expect can help ease your worries.

Admission

Our admissions process is simple and involves five easy steps:

  1. Initial Enquiry – You can call, email or use the online chat to talk to our admissions team about your situation.
  1. Pre-admission Screening – Over the phone or online, you will be asked about your physical and mental health, circumstances, drug or alcohol use and your current requirements to better decide what treatment you need.
  1. Treatment Deposit – During this initial call, you can deposit to secure your place.
  1. Admission Day – You will be welcomed upon your arrival, and a team member will show you round and give you time to settle in.
  1. Clinical & Recovery Plan Assessment – You’ll go through an assessment with our specialist doctor, meet your allocated recovery worker, and a recovery action plan will begin to form to ensure you are on the right path.

Detox

Drug and alcohol detox is the process of removing the substance you are addicted to from your body. You do this by stopping your intake. At Cassiobury Court, you can go through medically assisted detox, receiving medication to help alleviate severe withdrawal symptoms.

You’ll be in a safe and comfortable environment, under 24/7 medical care.

Psychological Treatment

After ending your physical dependence, you need to address the psychological side of addiction. We offer a range of treatments and therapies to help you better understand your addiction and break negative patterns, including:

Free Aftercare for 12 Months

Leaving rehab can feel as scary as entering. We understand this, so we offer a free 12-month aftercare support package, consisting of a plan created by your aftercare team. Through aftercare, you can continue to meet up with others in group support meetings, stay in touch with an aftercare support team and get additional relapse support if you need it.

Dual Diagnosis Programmes

Many who come to Cassiobury Court have additional mental health needs. Dual diagnosis cases are treated properly, where we ensure that treatment of your addiction and mental health do not harm each other.
