Drug & Alcohol Treatment Centres

Cassiobury Court is a specialist inpatient centre for drug and alcohol addiction. Here, clients receive a number of treatments designed to fully rehabilitate them into a life that does not involve the use of drugs and alcohol.

To achieve this aim, we utilise a number of modern therapy methods such as cognitive behavioural therapy, psychotherapy and holistic therapies.

The disease therapy of addiction

At Cassiobury Court, we subscribe to the ‘disease theory of addiction.’ Principally, we do not believe addiction is due to moral or behavioural failings. Instead, we consider an addiction to be a disease of the mind.

We believe this disease must be treated with a range of therapy techniques that aim to tackle addiction through the use of emotion, logic and knowledge.

A focus on abstinence

The overall aim of our drug and alcohol treatment is the utter elimination of addictive behaviours. This means our clients must embrace the abstinence model of addiction treatment.

To achieve this aim, clients receive a thorough grounding in the 12-step model that instils the goal of lifetime abstinence. This is combined with more modern and scientific techniques such as psychiatric and complementary therapies. The end result is that we offer a treatment programme that’s truly unrivalled in the United Kingdom today.

An evolved treatment programme

Over the last two decades, we’ve continued to evolve the drug and alcohol treatment programme we offer. We employ a gifted and multi-disciplinary team of addiction experts who influence and direct developments in the wider field of addiction and mental health treatment. Because of this, when you attend Cassiobury Court for drug and alcohol addiction treatment, you literally gain access to the best and most effective addiction treatments available on the market today.

The effectiveness of our treatment

Company research indicates around 70% of our clients achieve the abstinence goal following the completion of a 28-day rehabilitation programme. This high success rate is partially attributed to our extended aftercare provision.

When you attend Cassiobury Court, you are permitted the right to return to weekly aftercare sessions for an additional 12-months following the completion of your recovery programme. Why? Because aftercare is an essential resource during those tentative first months following the completion of your rehabilitation programme.

A tailored approach

When you attend Cassiobury Court for drug and alcohol treatment, you will be treated as a unique individual and not as a ‘number.’ This means your rehabilitation programme shall be constructed in a way that reflects your precise needs and requirements. For this reason, each client receives a fully individualised recovery programme. Why? Because tailoring your recovery programme significantly increases the long-term effectiveness of your drug and alcohol addiction treatment.

The specific therapies we offer are matched to your needs. For instance, if you suffer from social anxiety, your treatment programme will focus on one-to-one therapy rather than group therapy. Only once your individual therapy begins to deliver noticeable results will you be expected to engage with group therapy sessions.

Alternatively, if you are creative and spiritual, we shall offer you a range of holistic therapies such as mindfulness, art therapy and music therapy. To ensure you receive a treatment programme that suits your needs and preferences, a thorough assessment is conducted upon entering our drug and alcohol treatment centre.

Alcohol & Drug Detox

During the early stages of your rehabilitation programme for drug and alcohol addiction, you will receive a medically managed detox programme. During this time, you will be provided with suitable medication that soothes otherwise harmful withdrawal symptoms.

To ensure your detox programme is suitable, you receive a thorough consultation with our in-house psychiatrist. This psychiatrist is a medical doctor who will prescribe you with medication to reduce or eliminate withdrawal symptoms.

We also employ a team of support workers who monitor your condition throughout the detox portion of your rehabilitation programme. This ensures your detoxification is conducted in a safe, nurturing and comfortable environment.

You receive 24/7 assistance, meaning you are able to access care when you need it the most regardless of what time of day it may be.
